What do you think about facebook?

Facebook can be nice, you can keep in touch with friends while you are away at college, etc. But I feel like it's not always as simple as it should be. Does anyone else feel like people manipulate certain information(relationship especially) and prune their facebooks(picture especially)? It's kind of like advertising yourself.

SOCIAL not working site, Facebook will allow users to opt out of its spying feature.





Users were incandescent with rage after the outfit introduced the 'Facebook Beacon feature' which monitored which sites users visited and told all their friends.





Writing in his blog , Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted that he got it completely wrong about the feature and would be allowing users to switch it off.





He said that Facebook reacted too slowly to complaints about Beacon and made a ham-fisted PR effort.





Zuckerberg said he was not proud of the way Facebook handled the situation, including how it dealt with a 50,000 strong petition against feature.





He said that there was nothing sinister about Beacon. Facebook had designed to be so lightweight that users did not have to touch it.





Zuckerberg said it should have defaulted to opt-out instead of opt-in. If someone forgot to decline to share something, Beacon still went ahead and shared it with their friends.

Reply:Ya i agree with you its good no great cause you can keep in touch will people but i think people do manipulate it and i guess some people become what their not. Ah i guess its bound to happen with online friendship networks.
