Why won't facebook add my school?

Me and a ton of other people keep on e-mailing facebook, asking them to add our school to the network thing so we can have facebooks and make it easier to find people than look around local schools to see if someone signed up with them. People have been doing it for a while now, and still nothing.

What gives?

Why won't facebook add my school?
they should have all highschools and colleges. you can also use facebook and say "no network" anyways. just use myspace.
Reply:No idea. I have asked them to add homeschool (I'm sure I'm not the only one) and they still haven't.

Thankfully I'm in college now so I don't have to LIE about my school.
Reply:In all honesty, that's up to Facebook and it is at their choice and discretion if they want to add it. There's not much you can do besides wait after you suggest it. :/ I suggest you don't get annoying about it (individual requesting more than once), otherwise it may take longer. They'll do it when/if they want. Maybe they have what they consider "more important" things to do before they do that? Sorry, I know it sucks. Just join no network or a regional network, I guess. Good luck.
Reply:First of all, Facebook only adds Junior High Schools, High Schools, and Colleges. If your school is an elementary School, case closed. If not, I have a more in-depth explanation. Your school has to consent its approval to have itself on Facebook. I would suggest talking to a Head Administrator of your school district.
